Reuse Survey

Save Havelock House is launching a survey on the future of Havelock House to allow the general public to have their say on the future of the historic former home of Ulster Television.

The survey is accompanied by an online exhibition, highlighting the reuse potential especially a time when there is a shortage of creative and cultural space in Belfast.

The building contains over 58,000 square feet of space, much of which is configured for creative use. For instance, it includes three studio/exhibition spaces and extensive workshop facilities.

The goal of the survey is to identify a reuse scheme with broad public support which could be brought to feasibility study stage.

Despite its potential, Havelock House's reuse is opposed by senior officials in Belfast City Council for reasons which remain unclear. As a result, Save Havelock House is also asking the public to contact their local political representatives to highlight this situation.
