Havelock House

A reuse opportunity

Introduction

Welcome to our consultation on the possible reuse of Havelock House, the former UTV headquarters on Belfast's Ormeau Road.

This consultation is designed to highlight the building's immense reuse potential, especially at a time when there is a shortage of creative and cultural space in Belfast.

The building contains over 58,000 square feet of space, much of which is configured for creative use. For instance, it includes three studio/exhibition spaces and extensive workshop facilities.

Havelock House also boasts a rich history and unique architecture. It is the last surviving early regional TV station in the UK and two of its three studios are the last survivors of their type.

Our plan is to use your feedback to help shape a feasible proposal for the purchase and reuse of Havelock House which will command broad public support.

As well as completing our survey, we'd be grateful if you could please contact your local political representatives and ask them to support our reuse campaign.

As we embark on our reuse journey, it is vital that we secure as much political support as possible to help us deal with the many obstacles ahead.
