Havelock House in 2018
Save Havelock House
Fighting to defend Northern Ireland's television built heritage

Save Havelock House was established in 2020 to oppose Olympian Homes' proposals to demolish the historic former Ulster Television (UTV) studios.

The campaign's aims are:

  • To prevent the demolition of Havelock House;

  • To obtain listed building status for the building;

  • To promote sustainable development schemes which incorporate the building's historic fabric;

  • To raise awareness of Havelock House's history and cultural contribution to Northern Ireland life.

The campaign works closely with partners including the Donegall Pass Community Forum to advance its objectives.

How to get involved?

Save Havelock House is entirely reliant on volunteers, who do everything from website design to historical research.

It doesn't matter if you are not based in Belfast, a lot of our business is conducted online. Please contact us if you are interested in helping out.
